About Me

I'm Alexa. This is my little business. And Through the Woods is something I never thought I would ever start up. I love making hats, but I didn't think people would really pay money to have one made by 23 year old student. I've never had any formal training of any kind, I just figured out how to crochet and fell in love.

I am currently attending Utah Valley University studying Elementary Education. I love kids and I can't wait to graduate in April 2014! I am currently working on my student teaching, which made me quit my job as a preschool teacher. My hope is to make enough money to afford gas to get to and from the elementary school.

I started making hats for this little guy.

I had him when I was barely 20 years old and placed him for adoption with a lovely couple. He is a bit of the driving force behind And Through the Woods. I have made hats for him and his cousins, they will show up in the Pictures tab.
